Family-owed drinks bottling business launches production of hand sanitiser

A Herefordshire-based bottling and packaging firm is quickly responding to the Covid-19 outbreak by manufacturing and distributing its own branded hand sanitiser to key workers and members of the public. A customer of HSBC UK for over 12 years, Marches Bottling and Packaging secured an additional overdraft facility to help fund the production of its new hand sanitiser – Two Cousins.

Marches Bottling and Packaging is run alongside the family’s cider production business, Celtic Marches Beverages, which continues to offer its products and services to members of the public online. As a licensed manufacturer of alcohol, the company is authorised by the government to produce hand sanitiser, and was able to quickly turnaround new orders from local surgeries and care homes to help protect them at work, as well as providing to the general public through local grocery stores.

The company has also received a substantial order from Herefordshire Council for the first run of its new product.
