HSBC UK named UK ‘Bank of the Year’ by The Banker for the second year in a row
It builds on the success of being named The Banker’s UK ‘Bank of the Year’ for 2023 in December 2023.
The award recognises the Bank’s strategy for putting customers first and finding new ways to support people and businesses at every age and every stage – from helping its Global Money customers save more than £10m in FX fees and facilitating more than £4.5bn of sustainable finance, to deepening its charitable partnerships with organisations like Shelter and the Scouts and reaching 645,000 young people with financial education.
Ian Stuart, CEO, HSBC UK, said:
"I’m honoured that HSBC UK has been named The Banker’s UK Bank of the Year for the second year in a row.
"It’s been another fantastic year of supporting the financial health of our customers and the wider communities we serve. We focused on our strengths – leveraging our international reach to deliver for our personal and business customers at home and abroad, while also keeping focus on sustainability and doubling down on innovation.
"By focusing on these priorities, we delivered one of our best financial years in FY23 and have continued this momentum and growth through 2024. Looking ahead, we will remain focused on capturing opportunities for growth as the external environment and economic conditions change for customers.
"Huge thank you to all our customers and the colleagues that support them. When our customers succeed, so do we."
